Barren Blues

Photography as a  practice, is a pathway for processing the experiences one encounters in life. This image titled “Barren Blues” expresses what has been unfolding within the collective consciousness of not only humanity, but the Earth itself.  It metaphorically reflects and mirrors the condition of the soul, the heart of the all and the of everything of creation.  All of nature is emoting the barrenness, the blues of being bruised and battered by the pandemic, the war in Ukraine, the climate crises and civil unrest happening in the world.

Amidst all this suffering, sorrow and loss, there is a melding of a mysterious meaning and purpose to it all.  Slowly something new is awakening within humanity, as glimpses of clarity part the clouds of confusion.

Barren Blues is an image of hope… of potential possibilities, yet to come into being.
